MediaRites Productions is a non-profit production organization based in Portland, Oregon, that promotes acceptance among diverse communities through the arts, education and media projects. Since 1984, MediaRites has produced award-winning national radio documentaries, interactive websites, and community projects. MediaRites is a non-profit media arts organization dedicated to telling the stories of diverse cultures and giving voice to the unheard.
Through our radio and video documentaries, theatre productions and outreach projects we create lasting legacies and connect communities.
Our largest project was the Peabody award-winning radio series, Crossing East, which created 8 one-hour programs on Asian Pacific American history along with community outreach events.
Currently, our productions are the Mei Mei film and Theatre Diaspora, a series of staged readings of Asian American plays in collaboration with Portland Center Stage.
